ABOUT OUR PROVIDERS

Cheryl has been board-certified (BCN) in neurofeedback  for 10 years and holds an (LPC) for 30 years. Cheryl’s approach to mental health is holistic; addressing the mind and body interconnectedness as well as the interpersonal relationships and spiritual features with the people she works with. 

 

She incorporates evidence based traditional  therapies including cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavior therapy. Cheryl has provides ART ( Accelerated Resolution Therapy); an eye therapy that can rapidly reduce a person's symptoms and help them get unstuck.  She has level II training in ART. This therapy was born out of EMDR, it uses eye movements and typically is effective with fewer sessions compared to EMDR.

Cheryl added IFS parts work in 2025 as well as Deep Brain Reorienting to further support the clients she works with. 

 

 She is active in ISNR and participates in ongoing education regarding neurofeedback several times a year. She mentors other professionals pursuing board certification for neurofeedback and LPC licensure.

Outside of work she enjoys time with her husband, 2 children pickleball, the gym and camping.

Ken is a Licensed Professional Counselor.  Some of his experience includes working with adults and adolescents in an acute inpatient setting and residential military unit for active duty and veterans. He has assisted clients in the treatment of anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and a variety of different disorders.

 

Ken’s therapeutic approach is collaborative and holistic, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Solution Focused Therapy. His approach can help in the treatment of anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transition, stress management, and many different areas of concern. Ken is EMDR certified-  (Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) which is a fast and effective intervention.

 

Ken believes that everyone has the power within to heal themselves, but at times we all need some assistance to unlock this ability. Ken’s warmth helps create a safe, non-judgmental space, which will allow individuals to fully explore all aspects of their lives.

 

Ken assists individuals along their journey of healing, by helping to guide them to a new perspective creating insight to let go of what is no longer serving our true self. While providing nutrients for growth and clearer vision for a healthy fulfilling life.

 

Ken is married and has one child. He enjoys spending time with his family traveling, going to VCU basketball games, and watching his child play sports. Ken also enjoys gardening, tinkering in the garage, and home improvement projects.

Diana is a Resident in Counseling working toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and brings a solid foundation of clinical knowledge combined with
meaningful experience in diverse mental health settings. Her background include working in community mental health with individuals navigating complex challenges such as schizophrenia, personality disorders, trauma, depression, anxiety, and
significant life transitions.


Diana works with adults, couples, and children and tailors her therapeutic approach to meet each client’s unique needs. She draws from an integrative and holistic framework grounded in person-centered care, believing that the therapeutic relationship is a powerful healing vehicle. Central to her approach is relational therapy, which emphasizes the importance of the therapeutic bond, emotional connection, and the client's patterns in relationships both inside and outside the therapy space.


Diana collaborates with her clients to explore the impact of past relationships, current dynamics, and emotional experiences to foster deeper self-understanding and growth. By creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment, she helps clients feel seen, heard, and supported as they move toward meaningful change.


Diana integrates evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), mindfulness practices, and relational-cultural approaches. Whether helping clients manage symptoms, process trauma, strengthen relationships, or navigate life transitions, her goal is to guide them toward insight, resilience, and emotional well-being.


Outside of work, Diana is married and a mother of two. She enjoys traveling, hiking, running, gardening, and painting—activities that keep her grounded and reflect her belief in the healing power of creativity, movement, and connection with nature.

Sofia earned her Master's in Counseling from VCU and completed her internship at Brainiac Wellness, where she provided neurofeedback and provided therapy to  children, teens, and adults facing challenges related attachment, trauma, anxiety and mood disorders.

 

As a Resident in Counseling  she is on journey toward LPC licensure.  Sofia blends empathy with accountability, helping clients develop new skills to enhance their mental health. She utilizes therapeutic approaches, including Dialectical Behavioral (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),  tapping, and healing through writing.

 

Outside of her professional life, Sofia enjoys fishing, running, and spending quality time with children and animals.
